Baby Levi - Fresh 48

There was so much love and excitement in this room. Baby Levi was so calm despite being showered with attention from all of his siblings. We spent the session making sure everyone got a chance to hold the baby and while the older siblings were catching up with their parents, I snuck in some individual shots of Levi. It was also so special that his grandma got to be there!

Hospital rooms are often small and dark and this one was no different. But we used the space that we had and stuck close to the window! I love fresh 48 sessions for a lot of reasons but my top two are 1. You get pictures of your fresh, new baby who will never be this small again and 2. They’re a great alternative to birth photos (which I love but understand not everyone does). You’re still in the hospital (or freshly home from the birth center or post home birth) but you’ve had a minute to catch your breath. You don’t have to go anywhere or even get dressed; it’s all very laid back and baby-centered. During these sessions, I aim to capture the little details, the excitement of welcoming a new family member, and the all of the love a new baby brings.

p.s. This session was extra special for me because this was the exact room I was in after having my son two years ago!
